Things to Bring

  • Raincoat or poncho
  • Hat with brim
  • Sunglasses
  • Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Camera and extra batteries(ideally rechargeable)
  • Flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries
  • Toiletries: Biodegradable as much as possible
  • Water bottle or canteen, lightweight stainless steel is great. We try to avoid plastics
  • Water resistant bags can be helpful
  • Waterproof bags for camera etc can be lifesavers
  • Binoculars, lightweight, are good to see birds
  • Cookies, candy, treats you can’t live without
  • Cash,  crisp non marred or torn bills to pay for bar items, tips or arts and crafts purchases at the lodge

**Baggage should be kept to a minimum, due to space limitations aboard boats. Most hotels allow you to leave your large luggage there.

CLOTHING: Comfortable light colored and lightweight clothing such as:

  • Shorts and t-shirts
  • Swimming suit
  • Lightweight long sleeved shirts
  • Lightweight pants
  • Cotton underwear
  • Cotton socks
  • Rubber thongs or sandals
  • Rubber boots(only if your shoe size greater than 46, as unavailable here
  • Comfortable walking or sports shoes

Note:  Those on special fishing tours should bring their own gear and tackle.
